Short Courses

The cost of e-learning short courses is R2,500 (excluding VAT) per course per person.

The cost of face-to-face workshops is calculated for each course and charged on a cost-recovery basis.
Estimated completion period (e-learning): 10 weeks

The Citrus Academy offers six short courses, each dealing with a particular aspect of the citrus value chain and operational management.

Each short course is designed to develop applied knowledge of that aspect of the value chain, assuming an existing fundamental understanding of the fruit production system. It is ideal for broadening the knowledge of those that are employed in other parts of the value chain, for employees who would like to advance in their careers, and for those moving to the citrus industry from other parts of the agricultural sector.

Short courses are offered through e-learning and as face-to-face workshops. Face-to-face workshops are arranged on request and charged on a cost-recovery basis. Please note that in most cases, around 12 learners are needed for a workshop to make the per person cost manageable.

Short courses are developed in response to demand. Should you have any learning requirements that will be best served by a short course and that are not covered in the existing courses, please contact sive@citrusacademy.org.za.
